Introductory session

The Introductory session was held on 26 August. The session took place in E-102, where about 80 people had come to know more about the club and explore it. Not only were 19batch students included in the audience, but many were from18batch as well. So after our president provided the rundown about what the club is about and what our major events are, we proceeded to explain how each and every department operates and what skills they would require to join.
Furthermore, we also made the participants play an interactive game in which all players are split into groups of 10 and thus made up of a total of 8 teams. A company was assigned to each group and about 10 minutes of preparation time was provided to create a marketing strategy. Our game encouraged players to be innovative, work in teams, handle time pressure as well as pitch their ideas.
It was also discussed that, through personal interviews, participants could join the club. But many of them were curious to learn more about it, so they decided to take up their queries on a one-one basis for more clarity. Overall it was a good response from students who wanted to join the club and learn more about Finance.
